REVIEW:
Basically the Lenovo Idea pad S12-2959 comes in two versions, one comes with an Intel Atom N270 processor and the other comes with a Via Nano ULV processor. If you need a Nvidia Ion processor then you should choose Intel Atom N270. Its looks are stylish as well as professional also. So it can be used in office as well as at home.
As far as the design is concerned, it has a solid design. The outer side of the system is made up of black matte plastic. Its lid is made up of glossy plastic with a pattern of varying polka-dots. The base of the keyboard is made up of smooth black matte plastic.
It has a full sized keyboard which is very comfortable to use. Its touch pad is bigger in size as compare to its previous versions. Some media control buttons are located above the keyboard to control the volume. Its keyboard also includes some keys to directly control the webcam. It also includes a software known as facial recognition security which works with the help of a short-cut key/data recovery button. One short-cut key is also there to quickly launch an operating system known as Splashtop instant on.
It gives a 12.1 inch glossy LCD screen which supports 1280×800 pixel resolutions. Its stereo speakers offer good sound quality. It’s good enough for watching movies and listening to light music. It provides a standard set of ports and connections but you will not find any slot for expansion. It gives a battery life of three to four hours.

The Lenovo Ideapad S12-2959 is a stylish laptop, with improved graphics, can be used for home as well as office purposes. I would give 3.5 out of 5 stars to this laptop.
