Review Of Motorola Slvr L7c (Verizon Wireless)
REVIEW:
Motorola has produced lots of great handsets with great success as well. This time they have come out with Motorola Verizon Slvr L7c. it comes with a VGA camera, but it lacks stereo Bluetooth profile. It has good set of features. If fashion is your main concern than Slvr L7c is the best mobile set for you. The call quality isn’t the best that we have seen in a Motorola handset. The price of the Slvr L7c is not that much and it’s easily affordable for the users.

Motorola Slvr L7c has a candy bar design and its light in weigh. The light weight ensures easy portability. The Slvr has a solid feeling in the hand but it’s difficult to cradle it between your head and shoulder. We didn’t like its color scheme though.
Unfortunately, Moto went for a lower-resolution display on the Slvr L7c. it supports 65,000 colors. Some users may not notice the difference as the display is perfectly serviceable for most uses. There is some inconsistency yet that bothers us somehow. On the other hand, the 1.9-inch display is large enough and you can change the brightness and back lighting time.
The navigation array is almost the same from the sprint phone. There’s a four-way toggle with two soft keys, the Talk and End/power buttons and a central OK button. The flat keypad buttons are a bit cramped. There isn’t much space in between them. The keys are brightly backlit for dialing in the dark.
On the right spine there’s the Mini USB charger port. A volume rocker sits on the left just above the Motorola “smart” key. MicroSD card slot is crammed rather inconveniently behind the battery. On the back of the phone there’s a camera lens without a flash or self-portrait mirror.
Now come to its features. The Slvr L7c’s phone book holds 1,000 contacts, each of which can take five phone numbers and two e-mail addresses. You can assign contacts to caller groups, pair them with a picture for photo caller ID, or assign them one of the 20 polyphonic ringtones. Some other basic essentials include text and multimedia messaging, a voice recorder, PC syncing, a vibrate mode, voice commands and dialing, Instant messaging and e-mail and a notepad.
It’s just disappointing that a 3G multimedia-friendly handset such as this goes so low rent when it comes to a shooter. The VGA camera takes pictures in three resolutions and comes with adjustable brightness and white balance settings, three color effects, 10 fun frames, self-timer and three shutter sounds. The camcorder shoots 13-second clips with sound, while the Sprint L7c offered double the recording time. Editing options for videos are similar to those of the still camera. Photo quality isn’t that good.
As an EV-DO phone, the Slvr L7c supports the full range of Verizon’s 3G services including the V Cast music store and V Cast video service. The music player’s interface is identical to those on other Verizon phones. You also have the option to purchase a variety of Verizon applications including Chaperone Parent and VZ Navigator. You can personalize Slvr L7c with a variety of alert tones, display themes, banners, screensavers and wallpapers.

MAIN POINT
The Motorola Slvr L7c for Verizon offers a sleek design, decent battery life and EV-DO support. But on the downside it has a low-grade VGA camera and lacks stereo Bluetooth. Call quality is also not up to the level that we used to see in Motorola handsets. So I give 2.5 stars out 5 stars to it.
