Review Of Sony Vaio VGN – NW240F
REVIEW:
The laptops from Sony are always known for their stylish looks and design. The Sony Vaio VGN-NW240F is also one of them. It offers a great combination of stylish design and strong build quality. It is different from other laptops which have a glossy matte surface and leaves fingerprints on the surface whenever you touch them. Its chassis is of textured plastic. Its textured external casing does not give a cheap feel. You will find this texture on the lid and on the keyboard tray also.

It comes with the popular chiclet style keyboard. The keys are flat and well spaced which gives a very nice typing experience. Its touch pad is also very comfortable to use. You will not find any media control buttons on its keyboard. You will see a shortcut key to mute the volume, a display off key, a web key which is used to launch a splashtop browser so that you can quickly access the internet.
It comes with a 15.4 inch wide LCD screen which supports 1366×768 pixel native resolution. Its display is not as bright as of other laptops. Coating on the screen has not been able to protect it from reflections and glare. Its horizontal and vertical viewing angles are not impressive. It also provides a webcam just above the screen which is good enough for video chatting with your friends on the internet. Its stereo speakers are loud and clear but lacks in case of bass. The selection of ports and connections is above average.
